Cheapest eSIM for Europe (2026): live prices by country and region

Last updated: 29 October 2026 · prices refreshed 2026-10-29

The cheapest eSIM for Europe depends on one question: are you visiting one country or several? For one country, a single-country plan almost always wins. For a multi-country trip, a regional Europe plan saves you buying several eSIMs. All prices below are live from our catalog.

Short answer: our Europe plans start at $2.99 (1 GB, 3 days), and the best value is $0.59/GB (100 GB, 30 days for $58.99). A month with 10 GB or more costs $9.99.

Visiting one country: single-country plans

If your whole trip is in one country, buy that country's plan. Single-country eSIMs are usually cheaper per gigabyte than regional ones, because you only pay for one network deal.

Visiting several countries: regional plans

One regional eSIM keeps you connected as you cross borders, with no second purchase and no switching lines.

Region From Best price per GB 10 GB+ for 30 days

Our Europe plans come in versions covering from 37 to 46 countries. The smaller ones are cheaper, so check the coverage list on each plan (tap “37 countries” on the plan card) to make sure every country on your route is included.

Which one should you buy?

  • One country, any length of stay: the single-country plan.
  • Two or more countries: a Europe plan, as long as every country on your route is in its coverage list.
  • Mostly one country with a short side trip: compare the regional plan with the main country's plan. If the side trip is a day, a small second plan can still come out cheaper.
  • The Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania and others): most aren't in the EU, so check that they are in your plan's coverage, or pick a Balkans or Europe + Balkans plan.
  • Switzerland and the UK aren't in the EU either. Coverage varies between Europe plans, so check the list before you buy.

How much data do you need?

  • Light use (maps, messaging, email): about 0.5 GB a day, so 3–5 GB covers a week.
  • Moderate use (plus social media and photos): about 1 GB a day.
  • Heavy use (video, hotspot for a laptop): 2 GB a day or more, or an unlimited plan.

It's usually cheaper to buy a bigger plan up front than to top up halfway through.

Do EU residents need a travel eSIM?

If your home SIM is from an EU or EEA country, “roam like at home” rules let you use your normal allowance in other EU/EEA countries, within your carrier's fair-use limits. You may not need an eSIM at all, unless you need more data than your plan allows or you are visiting non-EU countries such as Switzerland, the UK or the Balkans. For everyone else, see eSIM vs roaming.
